Kelly Toomey Elliott serves as the Director of The Impact Collective, co-founded as a labor of love with her family in honor of her brother, Chris Toomey. Rooted in their deep bond shaped by faith, family, and a shared passion for investing in teams, Kelly and Chris pursued creating spaces where those they led could encounter Jesus and serve with purpose. After Chris’s unexpected passing in 2022, Kelly and her family chose to carry forward his legacy through the mission of The Impact Collective.
Kelly also serves full time as a college professor and the senior woman administrator for athletics. A former collegiate volleyball player and coach, she brings nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, athletics, student life, and discipleship. With master’s degrees in both counseling psychology and sport administration, as well as completing her doctoral degree in spiritual formation & leadership in spring 2026, Kelly brings experience and commitment to walking with students holistically – mind, body, and spirit.
Shaped by Dallas Willard’s reminder that the person we become is what we carry into eternity, Kelly values the way teams and community refine us. Through The Impact Collective, she seeks to lead mission trips, discipleship environments, and leadership experiences that help young adults mobilize their gifts and live out their calling in Christ. Her warmth, authenticity, and steady faith make her a trusted presence for the students she mentors and the teams she leads.
Kelly has been married to Michael for thirty years. Michael has devoted his own career to nonprofit leadership, church ministry, and Christian education–making their shared life one of service and faith. They are grateful parents of a son and daughter, their wonderful spouses, and have two grandchildren, with Kelly’s favorite new title being “Eema.” She feels closest to God in nature and is known for discovering a local bookstore and coffee shop everywhere she travels.
