Core Values: Extravagant Love

Hey there, Impact family! Isaac here!

As we begin our five-week core values series here on The Drop, I want to take just a second to introduce who is writing that week’s entry. This week’s core value is “Extravagant Love” and you’ll be reading from the pen of Anna Fultz.

Anna is (my sister, in case you didn’t know) a devoted trip leader for The Collective, and serves as the Assistant Director for Student Support in the EDGE program at Union University. She’s married to her husband, Ethan, and they have a sweet, little fur baby named Frankie.

Enjoy reading just a little bit of the why behind this core value, and thanks for your continued support!

Extravagant Love. Love that knows no boundaries. Love that is big and bold. Love that does not ask for anything in return. Love that leaves you filled with joy. Love that is intentional, yet spontaneous. This type of love transforms people. It shows people a glimpse of how the Lord loves each and every one of us. This is why extravagant love is our primary core value of the Impact Collective.

Our goal is to love others in a way that reflects Christ’s love. We believe that love changes everything. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”.

Love brings people together, conquers fear, transforms lives, and allows us to draw near to God. One of the biggest aspects of the Impact Collective’s mission is to go into places where love might not be very prevalent, and to lavish love upon any and everyone that we can. The goal is to show this kind of love through our service, actions, and how we speak to others.

The trips that Impact Collective takes are full of opportunities to serve with our hands, minds, and hearts. Our goal is to do that to the very best of our abilities and hopefully plant seeds in people’s lives. I have seen with my own eyes how love can change people’s hearts and open them up to receive what the Lord has set out for them.
