Good morning everybody, Isaac here!
I’m writing this while looking out on the vast and beautiful landscape of the Navajo in New Mexico. The silence envelopes in an awe-inspiring way, songs of birds peppered along the whisper of the wind make for a calming environment to spend some time with the Lord.
Our student-athletes are working hard and are hungry for more! Yesterday was spent planning aspects of our sports camp, clearing out old spaces for new uses, as well as beginning to prime and paint a number of different areas. The kids on the mission are few and far between as their school year is wrapping up, but that just means the ones we get to connect with get that much more of our attention!
We are loving every second of our time serving and have had a front-row seat to the movement of the Spirit amongst our team already! An integral part of any Impact mission trip is the naming of the shared photo album, and this year one of our team members suggested “Elevation Worship.” Spot on, right? We can’t help but worship God for His goodness in a place like this, and at such a high elevation (over 7000 feet above sea level)!
We ask that you would continue to be in prayer for our team as we seek to serve with His energy and not our own. Pray that these student-athletes would feel His presence in each moment and be bold to share His love to each person they come in contact with.
In addition to prayers for our team, we ask that you would intercede on behalf of the kids here. A common prayer request among them is for protection for them and their siblings, which breaks our heart but we know that we have a God that can do just that!
Thanks for being apart of this trip through your participation in prayer and we look forward to sharing more about what God is doing through our team soon!
